Ghostbusters 3 A Go & Without Bill Murray

According to Dan Aykroyd , it’s official Bill Murray will not reprise his role of Peter Venkman. Not that I really wanted a Ghostbusters 3 but if you are going to make a new Ghostbusters – you have to have Venkman. Despite not having Murray on board, the third installment of Ghostbusters is going to be handed over to younger actors – yeah, I am excited – not. There’s not lot of good actors in the young world of actors these days. There’s a small pool that keeps getting recycled in movie after movie. Hollywood always wants to use young actors. It’s depressing how older adults get the shaft in films – for the majority.

“I can tell you he won’t be involved. … It’s sad but we’re passing it on to a new generation. Ghostbusters 3 can be a successful movie without Bill. My preference would be to have him involved but at this point he doesn’t seem to be coming and we have to move on. It’s time to make the third one.”

Aykroyd also reported that they had a brand new scriptwriter that was marvelous and doing a good job in putting together a fantastic script. Somehow I am wondering if it will just be the original but with some minor changes to try to make it new again.

Ghostbusters still holds up well for it’s age. It’s humor is on point. Fantastic cast of characters. Terrific practical FX. The Zombie Cabbie is one of the best!

I ain’t afraid of no ghost, but I am of this movie and how it could but a damper on the franchise.
