As an artist, I do get sad when I see paintings just sitting, unused and unappreciated. Sadly, I am not a skilled painter, but there are others who are. Out of these skilled painters there are a few painters that like to grab unused paintings and add a certain interesting and odd flourish to them. The trick is to match the paint originally used (e.g., acrylic or oil) and try to blend the new characters into the original scene as if they were always there. It can be a challenge if the original is too textured or old. Two artists that have dabbled into giving abandoned paintings a new lease on life are Chris McMahon and Thryza Segal.
